If you are visiting New York City and trying to find a fun family activity to do, why not check out Madame Tussauds Wax Museum!!
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is located in Times Square, so there is a good chance if you are visiting the city, you will be in the area anyways One suggestion I have for you to save yourself some time waiting in line, purchase your tickets ahead of time. Also, if you purchase your tickets online you can save up to 20%! So why not save money and time?!
When you first arrive, you walk up the staircase and have the opportunity to have your picture taken, which of course is a great souvenir. You will then continue up the stairs and be directed to an elevator. Let me tell you, if you are scared of heights (like me) do not look out the glass elevator window, it goes up a good amount of floors. You may also choose to take the stairs if this is not for you. Of course, if you are not a baby like me, you will get to look out over NYC.
During your visit, you will get the chance to go through eight separatecategorized sections including Opening Night Party, Television, The Gallery, Spirit of New York, Pop Culture, Marvel Super Heroes, Authentic History, Sports Zone, and Music Zone.
I have included some pictures below, of just SOME of the figures you will see:
…Robin Williams- I think it is so great they have him in the museum!
…Another great, Tupac!
At each of the wax figures, there was a plaque stating who the person was along with some facts about them. Also, throughout the museum, there was plaques about making the wax figurines in general
Can you believe $220,000 for each figure???!!! That sounds crazy, but at the same time, the amount of detail put into each person is amazing! It seems like the museum captured every crease of each person, which makes these so real-like. There is even a section showing you how they are made…
If you want to feel like a celebrity for the day or just have some fun, I would check out Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in NYC!!!
Right now my readers can save 15% Off Admission to Madame Tussauds in New York! – Valid for up to 8 people if you decide to purchase your tickets at the museum.
